Whenever I sit down to write an article, I face a dilemma. I have to think about writing according to a personality. It’s important for a writer to think about whether it’s going to be a search engine article or an article written for the readers. A writer would have to adopt two completely different writing styles when writing for one or the other.
When you’re writing a search engine article, you have to keep keyword-placement in mind. Where are you going to place all those strategic keywords? What are the related keywords that you’re going to use in it? And most of the time, when you’re writing a search engine article, you forego style, flowery words and fancy sentence formation. Personality-driven style of writing is not required when you are doing internet marketing.
On the other hand, when I write for an audience, a fan-base or a blog-style article, it’s completely different from when I am writing a search engine article. I try to focus on how the readers will absorb the information, perceive my expertise, how easy it would be for them to go through the words, what I am trying to highlight to them, etc.
A search engine article is also shorter than an audience-driven article, hence, sometimes, they make no sense whatsoever. The main purpose of writing the article is….yes, internet marketing. Most internet marketers will tell you that an article written for the purpose of internet marketing should adopt the 5% keyword-density rule….which means that if you are writing an article of about 500-word article, you should have right about 25 or so keywords and related keywords in there! Some people believe in the 3% rule or the 4% rule….well, it’s completely up to you how many keywords you want to place in the article but this is what the experts conclude, so, you might want to take that into consideration.
It’s easier to write an audience-targeted article when compared to writing a search engine article, nevertheless, I always try to kill two birds with one stone. I do this by giving all my articles enough personality to qualify it as an audience-driven article but it is also packed with keywords.
You might want to try that out yourself.
This isn’t quite the kind of life-changing articles you can easily find elsewhere on the web but it has its points. Sometimes, writing articles quickly can work to your advantage….tremendously. I am planning on coming up with a video to illustrate to you how one can write an article without mulling too much about the intricacies of using bombastic words or taking too much of your time.
In the meantime, enjoy this article and absorb what you can from it.
Cheers, Marsha

Writing Articles Quickly
by Al Lifeson
Nobody disputes that writing articles is a great way to promote a website or product. But it can also be time consuming. So how do you write good producing articles quickly?
First you must understand that there are two different approaches you can take when writing your articles. You can either try to give away a freebie in exchange for an email address, or you can try to make direct sales.
The following advice is given to those who wish to make direct sales by getting readers to click to a sales page where a product can be bought. It can be used to get sign ups and the like, but longer articles seem to do better for that while shorter ones seem to work best for direct sales. At least that is my experience.
Most article sites only require a minimum of 250 words. I can write those in 15 minutes or less. So can you and here is how.
First, give the article a short title using decent key words. For direct selling purposes, using a benefit as the title is best.
Next, write a simple statement and follow it with the question you are about to answer. The statement is just a lead in to the question and should point out a benefit to be derived from the problem you are solving, and what the problem is.
Then just answer the question like you were talking to someone, but write the words instead. All you need is three or four good sentences for the body of the article, and add a few sentences here and there that make sense but really only serve as filler.
Close the article by touching on the benefit of the product you are selling.
Most people are scared to write articles and that’s why they don’t do it. Others have tried and found that no one was clicking their links, so they give up.
Just start writing short articles and posting them. As many as you can, even if they are not perfect. There is no better way of learning to write articles quickly.

Now let me show you how to get the readers to click your link.
There is no doubt that article marketing is one of the best and most powerful strategies for traffic generation. The problem is how do you generate enough articles to drive the level of traffic you desire and need? As my friend and colleague Jeff Herring is fond of saying The greater your article volume the greater all your other numbers will be.” This includes traffic and visitors to your web sites and blogs. So how do your solve the problem of creating a high article volume, Especially if you do not like to write. Here’s my solution My solution is to “write with your mouth and not with your hands.” Ok, Alex, nice play on words, but what does that mean for writing more articles? As I teach my teleseminar students, you can write several articles when you speak on a teleseminar. In fact, you can write between eight and twelve articles each time you conduct a sixty to seventy minute teleseminar. Here are the steps: Step 1 - Choose a specific topic within your niche - Create your Action Guide for the teleseminar, invite your list and community, and then conduct your call. Schedule it for sixty to seventy minutes. You can take one of your articles and grow your teleseminar from there. Remember your article is a great outline for your call and action guide. Step 2 - Record your teleseminar - You should record all your teleseminars, even if you are just starting out. You never know when you are going to be “on” and say some really great stuff. You want to capture it. Most teleseminars services provide a way to record your teleseminars. You always want to have a back up recording as well. Step 3 - Have the recording transcribed - You can easily pull 8 to 12 articles from the transcript of an hour long teleseminar. With a good transcript, you can simply copy, tweak and paste. And that is how you write with your mouth and not with your hands to increase the number of your articles. *** *** *** ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Even with Copyscape, we would have to admit that it’s hard to put a radar out for every one of the content that you put on your website or article directories. Even Google can only do so much to protect, detect and ban sites that copy your website content. We all know how much time and effort you’ve put into producing top-quality, up-to-date information and articles for your readers….we all know that but do people care?
That’s the thing…they don’t give two hoots how much effort you’ve put into your content. All they know is that they find it incredibly convenient to copy your content and place it into their websites.
The sad part of this is that not only do website owners copy others’ work, freelance content writers do that too. It’s something I call the easy way out because if you’re a writer, you can do the following and get away with most search engines. (more…)

Amy is eighteen and she has been spending months, five to be precise, practicing this one song that she would be performing for her music school’s concert. She toils over each note, each dynamic, each tone meticulously and to everyone else, she plays the song PERFECTLY. And yet, Amy’s not satisfied with her song. She laments to her mother, “But it’s NOT perfect. There’s something missing about the song”.
Her mother nods her head understandingly, “I don’t know what it is but you’ll figure it out”.
Amy nods away sadly, wondering what to do with her less-than-perfect piece. One day, while she was mindfully playing the piece in her music school’s display unit, which is displayed publicly, an experienced pianist walked up to her.
“That’s a nice song”, she commented. “You played it well”
Amy says, “Thank you. But it’s missing something, don’t you think?”
The pianist nods but smiles kindly, “Yes, it is. It’s missing flavor”.
Then it hit her, Amy’s been playing the song without putting herself into the music. Instead, she’s been putting her whole heart into memorizing the notes and the beat that she’s forgotten about the flavor of the music. (more…)
Web copywriting is carried out keeping in mind two audiences: search engines (which can index your site and pull up your page rankings), and prospective human visitors (who can buy your products). Sometimes the right density and positioning of keywords is enough to make search engines happy, and get you near the top of search results.
But when people visit your site, they read your content and if they find every paragraph a medium to stuff keywords, it spoils your impression, definitely a bad idea. You need to get a copy that can please both digital as well as human readers.
There is no point in getting high traffic when your visitors abandon your page before you can get them to click on a link, read more, or make a purchase. Although you have “cheated” your way into the search results, you just lost any chance of getting bookmarked, or recommended to another user, or getting visited again by the same user.
On the other extreme, you could get content writing services that churn out good copy–lively prose, no bluffing, no padding, just informative and persuasive copywriting–but if the keywords are not strategically placed and repeated when they count, you won’t be making search engine spiders happy.
Your site might read well but is just not spider-index-friendly. But then, with word-of-mouth recommendations, your site has a source of traffic not directly related to search engine results. The problem is your site might be reachable by any online search using keywords.
Now you know that man cannot live on search engine optimization alone. You need good copy. So you either get people who are good in SEO copywriting, or you can learn it and do it yourself. (more…)

If you wrote and submitted more than ten articles, then you have what it takes to write a short ebook on your topic and offer it to your list. All you need to do is to download the free open office suite and write in their word processor tool called writer.
With open office, you can create your own pdf for free.
Then, you need to quickly create an outline for your articles and this shouldn’t take you more than thirty minutes. It’s good to work with a timer to boost your productivity and avoid procrastination.
Here is how to do it step by step. Do not over complicate the process. (more…)
I started my writing career on freelance with sites like www.getafreelancer.com. If eBay was the site people went to for cheap stuff, then www.getafreelancer.com is the site people went to for cheap services. That’s how started my career as a freelance writer….producing really cheap writing materials. There was one time I wrote 100-word articles for about less than $1 a pop! No seriously. But the competition on the freelance writing world is tough…being that there are a lot of adequate writers in this world with a little bit of talent, who can whip out a decent article with a decent number of words, laced with keywords (splattered is more the word) in this world. Particularly countries like India where there are, admittedly, more talents than others….really cheap ones.
I’ve long abandoned my account with Getafreelancer because I started to have a client base and I focused more on quality these days. But I got curious, one day, and I went back in and took a look at the kind of projects that were being posted in there. And once again, I was sucked into a black hole….a vortex of cheap writing. It’s a wet market of cheap services….still. You can see it from the way people are focused on speed and cost.
For example;
“I need 50 articles with 500 words with keywords. More work to come. If good, will assign more projects regularly. Budget is $1 each article”

If you think it’s easy to get a visitor to search for your website, find it, read it (meticulously) and bookmark it, well - you’re deluded. The majority of web hits these days (they don’t call it visits anymore) occur through search engine crawlers - leaving alone the ones that are referred from somewhere else (usually costs money) or if your friends and family trying their best to promote you through chain mail. The question is - how do you get the attention of the search engines?
Of the several methods purported to work well in garnering web crawler attention, putting up small, snappy articles crafted specifically for the search engines using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques is the most cost-effective and intuitively simple way to do so. Needless to say, your website must convey the impression to the reader that they are actually getting something they need or enjoy out of their time visiting you (an important principle for first dates too)!
SEO “crawlers” can be a website’s best friend, or worst enemy. If your business site contains irrelevant content or hard to digest information, then no matter how well you have optimized your key words for the search engines, your page ranking will drop faster than it rises. After all, its humans who read it, not machines. SEO must go had in hand with good, well-structured content. If you do not write well it is essential that you learn to do so or hire someone to write for you. When the crawler comes across the keywords in the content, and brings up your site, the content on that particular page must be related to the keywords you have filled it with. (more…)

Look a writer in the eye and ask them if they have ever succeeded in coming up with the perfect piece of writing first off without needing to revise or edit the article…and watch them cringe! Now, if you know an AUTHOR who is established and ask them how much they appreciate their proofreader and editor and watch them gush! That’s how tedious it is to write a nice piece of article or book and how repetitive the chore can become. I sometimes regard writing with a little bit of distaste.
Oh, hang on a minute. Technically, I don’t REALLY hate writing all that much. I still believe I was born to write….because I don’t remember when it was I started writing stuff….on used receipts, on toilet papers, on the table, on artblocks, on those small tiny notebooks. I think my ‘stories’ were amusing to my parents…which probably explains why they found my blocks of scribblings on the back of the refrigerator ‘forgiveable’. BUT here’s the thing, what I hate is not the ‘writing’ itself because I sit down and bang on the keyboard as words, ideas and the story unwinds inside my head and heart. I just keep banging on the keys until either one of my kids scream or when the idea-train stops chugging. That’s the easy part.
